Arika Moody, LMFT is a Philadelphia Native who strives to service the community she grew up in, and to provide them with affordable therapeutic supports and resources. She has spent her college years in Syracuse University and LaSalle University, where she obtained a B.S. in Child and Family Studies and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has been dedicated to continuing to learn new ways to be effective in treating her clients and providing holistic treatment that includes processing, validation, and skill building.
Arika has had extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is working to be certified. Arika has learned to use DBT to assist all clients struggling with meeting life goals and working to be happy on the daily basis. Her extensive training in Family Systems, Attachment, and Emotion Focused Therapy allows her to assist clients in gaining insight into family/relational patterns, societal impressions, social learning and environmental issues that continue to reinforce negative patterns and behaviors.
She specializes in treating clients suffering with significant trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, marital issues, parenting struggles, relationship/peer issues and many more causes of suffering. Collaboration and mental health education has always been an important part of the therapeutic process with her, in hopes to increases the likelihood of permanent change. Using the knowledge, we learn about of how the many components in life have led you to this blockage, and will work to increase your ability to come up with solutions and tools that will stay with you forever.
